Stockport League Division 3
A superb season from Macclesfield `C`. Starting slowly with a loss and draw against Marple, the team then embarked on an amazing run of 9 wins out of 10 powering clear with a game to spare and winning the title with a points to matches ratio even better than the B team had achieved in winning this division the previous year.
3 ever presents helped with the consistency. Marc was half a point short of 50% which was an excellent performance playing mostly on the top board. Captain Mick scored 67% bettered only by David S who scored 75%.
David M lost only once for the C team on his way to 5/8 (62.5%). Thanks also to Pete for his efforts in the first half of the season, Tom for the second half of the season, Angie for her last minute stand-ins and to all those who took part in what was a magical campaign.
